希拉蕊．柯林頓在民主黨總統黨內初選遭遇自由派參議員桑德斯（Bernie Sanders）的強勁挑戰，極力自我形塑成為普羅大眾請命、隨時能將華爾街銀行家送進監牢的人。但最新公布的維基解密內容顯示，她私底下是同情華爾街的。

維基解密15日公布柯林頓正式投入選戰前的三份演講稿，她在這三場私人場合的收費演講中，對華爾街則採取更友善、更傾向企業的態度。道瓊社報導，這三場演講活動都是由高盛集團在2013年所主辦贊助，並支付柯林頓共67.5萬美元的演講酬勞。

她在演講中提到自由貿易的重要性，對金融監管持懷疑看法，以及表示如果更多「成功企業家」投入公職，政治制度將因此受益。在2013年10月的一場論壇中，柯林頓甚至說金融監管機構應該用心採納華爾街的觀點，小心不要對金融業造成妨礙。

柯林頓競選總部對上述內容是否屬實，並未明確回覆。

美國政府官員相信，俄羅斯藉由駭入柯林頓競選主席波德斯塔的私人郵箱，截獲有關柯林頓競選策略的往來訊息，並利用維基解密公諸於世。
